Debating Beyond Borders
As the flag-bearing club of Türkiye, we strive to participate in international tournaments, both online and in person. Since WSDC is not a widely practiced format in Türkiye, we’ve had limited resources and have largely navigated this path on our own. Despite these challenges, four of our club members have earned spots on the national team, one being the highest ranked Turkish speaker in WSDC 2024. Moreover, as an institutional team, we’ve broken at two international tournaments. It’s deeply meaningful to see how far our commitment and hard work have taken us, and it motivates us to keep pushing forward.
At ESDC 2025 (Eurasian Schools Debating Championship), we advanced to the octofinals with five wins and were the only Turkish team to break. The previous year, we advanced to the semifinals.
At NSDC (Nordic Schools Debating Championship), we made it to the octofinals with four wins, as the only team from Türkiye to do so.
